The 21st Century Learning Alliance offers a fellowship programme supporting teachers in carrying out development or small action/research projects relating to teaching and learning for the 21st century. The bursary provided by the 21st Century Learning Alliance will support the teacher and the school in the research, analysis, documentation and dissemination of their findings over a twelve-month period.
In 2009, eight projects were selected from over eighty candidates. They each received a £5,000 bursary, plus an honorarium on successful completion of the Fellowship.
Alliance founding member Professor Sir Tim Brighouse said: “We have been staggered by the response and believe we have eight very strong research projects to support over the coming year.”
For 2010, we will be looking for new candidates during May and June. If you have an idea for a teaching project that could add information or a new viewpoint to the debate that the 21st Century Learning Alliance sponsors, why not contact us now at fellowships@21stcenturylearningalliance.org.uk
If you’d like examples of the type of project covered by our fellowship, read the profiles of our 2009-2010 Fellows.
