The 21st Century Learning Alliance offers a fellowship programme supporting teachers in carrying out developmental or small action/research projects relating to teaching and learning for the 21st century. The bursary of £3000 is paid in two instalments, an initial start-up grant of £2,000 and a final personal honorarium of £1,000 paid to the teacher(s) on successful completion of the fellowship. The bursary provided by the 21st Century Learning Alliance will support the teacher(s) and the school in the research, analysis, documentation and dissemination of their findings over a twelve-month period.
For the coming academic year 2011-2012 we will be looking for projects in the area of curriculum design and implementation. For examples of the type of project covered by our fellowship, read the profiles of previous Fellows here.
If you have an idea for a teaching project that could add information or a new viewpoint to the debate that the 21st Century Learning Alliance sponsors, why not contact us now at fellowships@21stcenturylearningalliance.org.uk. The closing date for proposals is 30th June 2011 and successful applicants will be notified by the middle of July. Proposals should be no longer than two sides of A4 in length and have the support of the school’s principal.
