Reach for the Stars is a project aimed to address the ‘stretch and challenge’ agenda. It is more than a ‘gifted and talented’ initiative, because it requires students to work independently with teachers in facilitator roles.
The challenges and tasks will address the collective A* skill set across subject areas – rather than looking at Maths or Science, they will be looking at risk taking, originality, flair, conceptual analysis, etc.
Over the seven week course students have to produce a product or artefact but then they have to teach a session based on their own learning journey in being accountable and working towards a goal.
