We are conducting our project within the subject of English with a small group of pupils from Year 9. This is an all boy group who have literacy skills that are below average for their age. According to the PASS Survey data, these pupils lack confidence in their ability to succeed academically and, according to an initial survey conducted, generally fail to engage with their English studies.
We intend to trial them using a variety of ICT provision to deliver appealing lessons that are matched to the boys’ interests.
Primarily we will be using ‘Active Studio Expression Pods’ and ‘Apple Mac’ computers.
