The Bishop’s Stortford High School is keen to harness the opportunities provided by the implementation of ICT to improve student learning. To this effect the school is running a pilot project looking at the impact of using netbook computers with year seven students.
Research is being undertaken by a leading learning team looking at the implications for both teacher and learners. These small scale action research projects will include lesson observations, teacher evaluations, student focus group interviews and parent and student surveys.
In addition, we have set up a blog that attempts to capture elements of the project as it progresses. The report on the project outcomes is expected in summer term 2010.
